Batana Oil in Australia
March 24, 2024Have you every wondered why we called our Batana Oil business Wild Roatan and what does it mean? Roatan is my island home, and is located approx 60 kms from the Honduran coastline. Surrounded by the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second largest reef system in the world), covered in lush foliage and rolling hills, the island has some picture perfect vistas including some of the Caribbean’s best beaches. The island is a true melting pot and brings together people from English, Spanish, Afro American and Caribbean backgrounds, and yes the islands where once part of the English Empire and also a famous pirate base for the likes of Henry Morgan and John Coxon, legend has it even Blackbeard spent time in Roatan restocking and repairing his ships.
There is some much more I could share with you about Roatan and overtime I will, as I am a proud Bay Islander, who is excited to share a little bit of my heritage and Roatan with you.
Now Batana Oil, I grew up using Batana Oil, its very common to find Batana in most homes and from a young age I was taught to take great care and pride in my island (afro) hair. Being a 100% natural product, made on a small scale Batana Oil is very unique product, and over the past few years we first hand have seen the interest and knowledge of the product grow. With so many uses, and ways to use, Batana Oil works with all hair types and is really one of those natural hair and skin care products we hope one day will be found throughout homes in Australia and New Zealand.
If you are just starting to learn about Batana Oil, please explore our website to learn more, or feel free to contact us so we can answer any questions or share some Batana Oil insights with you.
And remember all our Wild Roatan Batana Oil products are made from Honduran Batana, made with Honduran hands and at Wild Roatan we are proudly from Honduras.
